Fireplace Inspection

We are not fireplace/chimney specialists and we are not specialists in regards to wood stoves. Home inspectors do not carry the tall ladders needed to access the high chimney tops so many times seen on our inspections; therefore, we are not able to reach the top of many chimneys during our standard home inspection.
We recommend to our clients to choose to have a separate inspection performed by a chimney specialist to reduce the risks associated with deficiencies in chimneys, wood stoves, and fireplaces. As a service to our clients, we will arrange for an inspection by an independent chimney specialist from Canterbury Chimney Sweeps who will accompany us on our inspection so that a more detailed evaluation of the fireplace(s), chimney(s) and wood stoves can be performed.

Canterbury Chimney Sweeps is a full service chimney company owned and operated by Bruce VanderWarker. All of their service technicians are fully trained and are insured. In nearly 25 years, Canterbury Chimney Sweeps has serviced thousands of satisfied customers and welcome the opportunity to add your home to the list of those made safer or more enjoyable through our efforts.
